In the night;
There is the moon.
White and clear,
making everything reappear.
There is the shadows,
secrets no one dares to seek.
And then there are the glorious stars.
Your eyes used to shine like stars.
And your words were as deep as the moonlight.
You and yourself, wrapped me up
and sent me on a midnight trip.
Where I got lost.
On valleys, empty streets.
Went all around town
and found who I really was deep with-in.
A pencil can't write how much you've changed me,
And all the blue markers in the world won't draw enough nights
for me to describe, explain or give you a reason,
for there is no explanation, description or reason,
for what you have done to me.
It's true you're miles away,
but I feel you as close,
as the moon go with the stars.
